This annual event brings together hotel FF&E manufacturers, interior designers, and procurement consultants, along with hotel owners, operators, developers, and brands, creating a fantastic place for our ID Studio designers to network and gain inspiration. Our team attends BDNY each year to better serve our clients, enhance their projects, and continue to foster relationships with vendors who help bring these projects to life. New & Consistent Design Trends at BDNY 2024

ID Studio designers noticed that metal accents with casegoods, unique sculptural/3D artwork, and fresh tile designs stood out at the show this year. New tile patterns were scale- and art-focused, and designers are being encouraged to use intense colors. There was a strong Art Deco influence in patterns, new products, and overall design trends, and we noticed a general warming up of neutral tones across the board.

The latest design trends feature more curves, and it seems hard-edged furniture is a thing of the past. Lately, it’s all about rounded edges, soft curves, and even bulbous shapes, with Art Deco and gorgeous details being key.

Our team also noticed trends leaning toward using leather with intricate metal detailing and beautiful plumbing finishes of onyx and rose gold.

A few design trends that have withstood the test of time include statement wallcovering, focal walls, and entire walls of artwork instead of one singular framed piece. They also saw artline tile patterns, which we’ve been using in client projects for some time.
